Then, Why Is Emily Blunt Taking Career Break?
Recently in a podcast episode of Table For Two, Emily Blunt talked with the host Bruce Bozzi about her career break.
After the successful play in Oppenheimer, the British actress decided to spend time with her daughters and husband instead of focusing on her career.
When Bruce Bozzi asked how she balances her career as a mother, Emily explained,
Not always well, you know…..I never feel like I am doing it right. But this year I am not working.
She elaborated that she had her success story before and when her daughters came to her but did not stop working.
However, Emily now feels that her elder daughter is already nine years old and has cornerstones to their days. So she wants to be available in every little moment of her daughters.
Also, her words have a guilt of motherhood that she could not fulfill due to her career. Emily says she wants her daughters to find what they love and grow up happily.
The podcast was before the premiere of Oppenheimer in theatres. And despite her words of taking a break, she has been cast for A Quiet Place: Day One, directed by her husband, John, scheduled for March 8, 2024.
Whatsoever, there is no link between Emily taking a career break with her getting pregnant. Instead, it is for the children that the couple already have.
